PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT OF VISAKA CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

To accommodate 60 children and 7 staff members with facilities to fulfill the requirement of the Ministry, and plan to complete in four

(It is planned with 5 children per room with separate toilet & bath, and required facilities, Total of 12 bed rooms on 1st and 2nd floors, along with the study space, lobbies and outdoor terraces and 2 wardens’ rooms on each floor, Altogether 5 wardens rooms, Ground floor is consisted with head warden’s room, sick room for five, attached toilet and bath with special needs, extra room for new or mobile children, utility room, multipurpose hall, library, area for exam preparation and lobby)

Phase II

Ancillary Building is single story with mezzanine floor: The gross Floor area is 8020 Sqft or 744 sqm. The Estimated Cost is 55 million Sri Lankan Rupees. 204,460 US dollars approximately (Lobby, dining, kitchen, stores, rest room and bath room for Kitchen staff at ground floor; Chairman’s and warden’s office, management office, meeting room, wash-room for office, auditorium com exhibition space and vocational training centre on mezzanine floor)
