New Building

Proposed new building has suggested and already prepared the project master plans and detailed drawings and They have been approved the management in order to build a quality living environment for Vishaka CDC girls. This is a major and important infrastructure requirement to heal the physically and psychologically wounded children for providing them safe well facilitated home. This is a timely requirement of the place and vital for the process of the empowerment of our Vishaka CDC girls.

Phase I

Accommodation Building is 3 storied, Floor area of phase-I is 20,672 Sqft. or (1,920 sqm) Estimated. Cost is 105 million Sri Lankan Rupees or 390,335 US Dollars approximately.

Phase II

Ancillary Building is single story with mezzanine floor: The gross Floor area is 8020 Sqft or 744 sqm. The Estimated Cost is 55 million Sri Lankan Rupees. 204,460 US dollars approximately

Phase III

Includes Main entrance, gate & Boundary walls, , security office, and outdoor worker’s toilet, other infrastructure and garbage collection point . The Floor area is 418 Sqft or 38 sqm. Estimated. Cost is 10 Million Sri Lankan Rupees or 3,717 US Dollars approximately

Phase IV

Outdoor play areas, netball court, parking, Landscape, green infrastructure services, The Estimated. Cost is 10 million sri Lankan Rupees and 3,717 US Dollars approximately

PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT OF VISAKA CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

To accommodate 60 children and 7 staff members with facilities to fulfill the requirement of the Ministry, and plan to complete in four
Phases.

Phase I

Accommodation Building is 3 storied, Floor area of phase-I is 20,672 Sqft. or (1,920 sqm) Estimated. Cost is 105 million Sri Lankan Rupees or 390,335 US Dollars approximately.

(It is planned with 5 children per room with separate toilet & bath, and required facilities, Total of 12 bed rooms on 1st and 2nd floors, along with the study space, lobbies and outdoor terraces and 2 wardens’ rooms on each floor, Altogether 5 wardens rooms, Ground floor is consisted with head warden’s room, sick room for five, attached toilet and bath with special needs, extra room for new or mobile children, utility room, multipurpose hall, library, area for exam preparation and lobby)

Phase II

Ancillary Building is single story with mezzanine floor: The gross Floor area is 8020 Sqft or 744 sqm. The Estimated Cost is 55 million Sri Lankan Rupees. 204,460 US dollars approximately (Lobby, dining, kitchen, stores, rest room and bath room for Kitchen staff at ground floor; Chairman’s and warden’s office, management office, meeting room, wash-room for office, auditorium com exhibition space and vocational training centre on mezzanine floor)

Includes Main entrance, gate & Boundary walls, , security office, and outdoor worker’s toilet, other infrastructure and garbage collection point . The Floor area is 418 Sqft or 38 sqm. Estimated. Cost is 10 Million Sri Lankan Rupees or 3,717 US Dollars approximately.

Phase IV
